SafeCompanion keeps a trusted person virtually with you during walks, runs, hikes, and commutes. If something goes wrong, your emergency contacts are alerted instantly with your location.
Start a timed safety session for walks, runs, hikes, bike rides, or lone worker shifts. Your route is tracked in real time.
Your emergency contacts see your starting location when a session begins and receive your GPS coordinates if you trigger a distress alert.
An 8-second countdown distress button sends an emergency SMS with your exact location to all your emergency contacts instantly.
Let your contacts know you arrived safely with a single tap. A confirmation SMS is sent to all your emergency contacts.
Parents can link to a child's session using a code and view live location during active safety sessions.
Location-aware crime statistics based on your current area classification β updated in real time as you move.
SafeCompanion is a personal safety mobile application developed to give individuals an extra layer of security during everyday activities. Whether you are walking home alone, going for a late-night run, working in an isolated environment, or simply wanting peace of mind, SafeCompanion ensures someone is always virtually with you.
The app allows users to designate trusted emergency contacts β family members, friends, or coworkers β who are notified via SMS when a session starts, when the user checks in safely, or when a distress alert is triggered. All SMS notifications include the user's GPS location via a Google Maps link so contacts can act immediately.
SafeCompanion is not an emergency service and does not replace calling 911. It is a supplemental personal safety tool designed to keep trusted people informed and connected when it matters most.
SafeCompanion is operated as a mobile software product. Business correspondence: support@safecompanionapp.com
SafeCompanion sends transactional SMS safety notifications to emergency contacts that app users have personally designated. Messages are sent in three situations only: when a safety session starts, when the user checks in, or when a distress alert is triggered.
Consent is collected in-app at the time each emergency contact is added. No messages are sent to any recipient without explicit consent confirmation by the app user. All messages include opt-out instructions. Recipients may reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
Msg & data rates may apply. For full program details, opt-in/opt-out information, and sample messages, see our SMS Program Documentation.
